BUILDING OUR FUTURE
BUILDING OUR FUTURE
Sandia Fellowship Global Methodist Church Capital Campaign
As of February 20, 2025, we are pleased to announce we exceeded our goal of $380,000 for the Building Our Future Capital Campaign and actually reached $800,513!
This outcome was even more remarkable considering it was not that long ago that we had numerous members make sacrifices just to be able to launch this new ministry!
I was reminded of one of my life verses from 2 Corinthians 9:8: “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will have an abundance for every good work.” This is definitely a great example of the abounding grace of God through our faithfulness serving and sacrificing together.

The theme for our Sandia Fellowship Capital Campaign is “Building Our Future.” These three words are important:
BUILDING: This campaign is primarily about building Christ’s character into the lives of everyone who is called to be a part of this discipleship family. We are both blessed and so thankful to have purchased our physical buildings to help us move forward with this vision, but the physical buildings are only a tool to build lives and make disciples in God’s kingdom.
OUR: When I think of the word “Our” in this phrase, I don’t just think of us as a church, but I think of the “Our” in “Our Father in Heaven.” Jesus didn’t use the word “My” but a word causing us to think of others around us. It is Christ calling us to reach out to care for others like this friend did for the grieving family that I just shared about. We are all called to be Christ’s ministering presence to everyone with whom God gives us the opportunity to be in relationship.
FUTURE: The “Future” is hope of an even greater realization of God’s plan, purpose and fulfilled promises. We believe that the fellowship, mission, vision and worship that we experience together through Sandia Fellowship is a gift from the Lord. It is also a gift that God is giving us to also sow seeds into and experience a shared harvest of His kingdom blessings.
We believe God has great things in store for us as this community of faith called Sandia Fellowship. Please keep this campaign in prayer for the growth and health of our spiritual life together.

WEEKLY PRAYER GUIDES
As we move forward in this next chapter of expansion at Sandia Fellowship GMC, we recognize that Our Creator has always desired that His followers come together in worship. From the portable tabernacle the Israelites erected during their time in the desert, to the permanent elaborate temple built in Jerusalem, we understand that God meets us in the community setting of His house.
Why is a church so important?
It is a sanctuary. Most of us understand that feeling of reverence and spirituality we feel when we enter into a place of worship. A church is that place of quiet and peace where we can safely let down our guard, open up to God in prayer, and reflect on all He has done for us.
It is a temple of praise. In Psalm 100:4 David writes, “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise, Be thankful to Him and bless His name.” A church allows us the opportunity for corporate praise and worship. Gathering together in one place to lift the body of Christ helps us to solidify our understanding that Our God is worthy of ALL praise.
It is a place of community. Church is a visible reminder of God working in and around us at all times. A church is a place of fellowship and can serve as a hub for mission outreach outside of worship services.
From the time our church began in 2023 we were blessed to be able to worship weekly at the Regal Winrock Cinema. In October 2024, as a result of our hugely successful Capital Campaign, we were blessed to be able to purchase our new permanent church facilities at 2608 Tennessee NE and 2609 Texas NE. Currently we are meeting at the Sheraton Albuquerque Uptown while our new facilities are being renovated to serve as our permanent place of worship.
Prayer is vital for this entire process. Our
communication with God is vital to the life and future of Sandia Fellowship. The Bible
says in Philippians 4:6-7, “Do not be anxious about anything, but by prayer and
supplication and with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. And the
peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds
in Christ Jesus.”
We ask that all of you take a moment every day to pray for Sandia Fellowship. We are providing a simple weekly prayer guide with a daily Scripture and corresponding prayer:

Thank you for lifting these requests to our most gracious God, and may the Lord bless each of you!

CHARTING OUR PATH
To the right is a chart depicting an estimated breakdown of donation levels related to our financial goal. The chart is based upon estimated gifts and number of giving units in our church.
An essential component of this campaign is to remember that these pledges are above one’s regular giving to the annual budget. Also, we can’t stress enough the importance of simply praying and asking God how He wants us to participate in this unique opportunity to help us step up into our next level of ministry.
