JOHN RECH

SENIOR PASTOR

Pastor John Rech and his wife Lindy have been living in the Albuquerque area since 2008. They have four children, seven grandchildren, and one dog named Marley. John is a graduate of Texas Tech University, Asbury Theological Seminary and Perkins School of Theology. John has been a United Methodist Pastor for over 32 years and was recently welcomed as an ordained elder in the Global Methodist Church serving in the West Plains Conference. John has been serving as a clergy team member for Kairos Prison Ministries since 1998 and has also been serving as a chaplain for the Albuquerque Police Department since summer of 2020. Lindy is a graduate of Grand Canyon University and is the Director of IT Operations for the Lovelace Hospitals in New Mexico. John is excited about the opportunity to serve as the pastor of the newly-formed Sandia Fellowship which will be the first Global Methodist Church in the Albuquerque area.

ALLAN ESQUIBEL

DIRECTOR OF WORSHIP AND MUSIC MINISTRY

Allan Esquibel is a lifelong musician from Albuquerque, NM. He graduated from UNM and currently lives in the South Valley with his wife Crystle and their two children, Emily and Oliver. The family enjoys playing music, singing, hiking, and the ABQ Bio Park. Allan also enjoys playing at many local venues with his trio. He gives private music lessons for guitar and piano to all ages. Allan has worked in music ministry for over 10 years and is very excited to be part of Sandia Fellowship.

HOLLY KLEIN

CHURCH ADMINISTRATOR AND

DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS

Holly Klein has worked in church administration for 27 years. She is excited to be part of fulfilling the Great Commission through the new ministry of Sandia Fellowship. She has a degree in Business Administration and a passion for theological studies and missions and evangelism/outreach, having gone on mission trips to countries including Russia, Nicaragua, and numerous mission trips to Mexico. Her husband Bill is an engineer at Sandia National Laboratories. Together they have five children, three grandchildren, and three dogs: Dixie, Daisy Jane, and Opie. They enjoy extensive traveling, gardening, and spending time at the beach and on the water. Holly is an avid reader and writer and enjoys studying systematic theology, church history, world history, and literature. She is also passionate about animal well-being initiatives and volunteers with animal welfare organizations.

SHELLEY BATEMAN

FINANCE ADMINISTRATOR

Shelley Bateman is a native of Moriarty, New Mexico. She spent her working years as an accountant in the construction industry. She is now retired but still loves working with numbers and business applications. Shelley played the piano for church since high school and has directed church choirs and been a member of worship committees most of her adult life. Shelley is delighted to be a Global Methodist and founding member of Sandia Fellowship GMC and believes in supporting the church’s mission endeavors. Her husband Brent retired from Sandia National Laboratories. Together they have two adult daughters and twin grandsons. Shelley enjoys traveling with Brent, gardening, quilting, and playing the piano.
